Profile

My first memory of photography is from 7th grade. I was in a class and our instructor took a photo with a large format camera of the entire class under a tree. Each of us then had a turn in the darkroom with the negative creating a print of ourselves. We were all amazed that from this tiny negative we were each able to create a 5 X 7 of ourselves.

Over the years photography has always been present in my life, sometimes more, sometimes less. My primary fascinations have been landscape and lifestyle. I like the Zen of discovering a new place and spending time quietly exploring it with my camera. With lifestlye photography I like the interactions with people and creating something unique.

My latest exploration has been through drone photography. I recently passed my FAA Part 107 exam and can fly a drone commercially. It has opened up new vistas and adventure.
